Who We Are

Cornerstone Word Company is an Ottawa-based company, founded by Paul Paquet and Laura Byrne Paquet. In addition to trivia, the company offers writing and editing from the perspective of professional public relations theory and practice.

• Paul manages the trivia side of the business. He has a PR degree and has been accredited by the Canadian Public Relations Society.
• Laura Byrne Paquet also writes travel and other magazine articles, as well as romance novels and the book The Urge to Splurge.

Paul was born in Montreal on January 24, 1965. He married Toronto-born Laura Byrne on September 14, 1991, in Ottawa, where they have lived ever since. Before co-founding Cornerstone, he worked for two environmental groups, for a member of Parliament and for a consumer group.
